Purpose: 

  • training of TV-TI/radar Khrizantema-S ATGWS operators from 9P157‑2   (9P157-3) combat vehicle (CV) crews in simulated target detection, tracking, lock-on, and conduct of launch;
  • training of CV operators to maintain and improve acquired skills.

  • simulated effective range of firing:

-   maximum: 5,000 to 6,000 m;

-    minimum: 400 m;

  • tank-type target detection range:

-   radar channel: up to 6,000 m;

-    television (TV) channel: up to 6,000 m;

-    thermal imaging (TI) channel: 5,500 m or better;

-    TV channel: 5,000 m;

-    simulated ground target: up to 70 km/h

Features:

  • training of 9P157-2 (9P157‑3) CV operators in basic combat operations via electronically simulated launches in the following modes:

-         «Surveillance» using TV/TI control console simulator;

-         «Laser» using TV/TI control console simulator;

-         «Radar» using radar control system simulator;

-         «Combined» using simulators of both control systems;

  • automated control and evaluation of operator's performance during training session and storage of training results;
  • self-study training and self-check of acquired knowledge;
  • training of gunners to maintain and improve acquired skills;
  • training of CV operators in engaging the following ground and air target types: low speed (up to 340 km/h), low-lever (down from 1500 m), approaching within the elevation sector  between minus 5 and +15˚ with reference to horizon line;
  • compilation of training scenarios;
  • printing out of training session results;
  • monitoring over controls.
