Conference dedicated to thrifty manufacture

KBM in collaboration with the Kolomna institute (branch) of the Moscow machine building university conducted a theoretical and practical conference among students from the engineering and economical department titled Theory and practice of implementation of thrifty manufacture.

The evaluation board to choose the best paper included P.A. Krylov, KBM laboratory head; O.P. Timofeyev, head of personnel training department section; N.Yu. Burlakova, 2nd category engineer, and associate professors of the Kolomna institute.

12 papers had been submitted. The 5S system as a first step on the road of creating a thrifty manufacture report by Yuliya Gorshkova, a female student from group IVT-41, was judged the best one.

While the evaluation board was busy in assessing the reports, Mr. Krylov told the future engineers about mainstreams in implementation of a thrifty manufacture at KBM.

The conference allows to expand the scope of the educational process, acquire new knowledge not specified in the curriculum.

For KBM, it's just an extra form to train young specialists, a chance to size up students in order to offer the best a job at KBM in future.
